Gooding & Company will be holding an auction on October 26-30 dedicated to a 66-year-old Jaguar XK120 that has spent many years sitting in a shed not far from Cleveland, Ohio.
Little is known about the destiny of the exotic roadster, except for the fact that Hoffman Motors NY sold it to its first owner, and that the car took part in Cleveland amateur races and other automotive events.
Despite the venerable age, the car remains fully authentic with an official confirmation from Jaguar stating that is retains its original paintjob and interior upholstery. The 3.4-liter inline-six under the hood is also stock, although its power is not specified anywhere and could vary between 162 and 213 hp (121 – 159 kW) depending on the model.
The historic Jaguar XK120, which you can have a good look at in the video here, received its model designation from the manufacturer-rated top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h).
The starting price of the lot hasn’t been announced yet.
