A 1956 Jaguar XK140 coupe is looking for a well-heeled buyer in Moscow. It is the only Jag of its kind on sale in Russia right now and comes with a sticker that reads 9,000,000 Rubles (around $121,800 USD at current rates).
The left-hand-drive coupe rolled off the assembly lines in Coventry, England on March 14, 1956. It received a complete overhaul based on OEM components a while ago. The current owner imported it into Russia in 2001 and never attempted to sell it until now.
As an SE model, the two-door British classic comes powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six engine rated at 210 PS (207 hp / 154 kW). The transmission is manual, although automatic was also an option for the XK140 back in the time. The seller claims that Jaguar made a total of 2,798 such cars, and you can watch the video here for a closer look at another fine example.
An important note to make is that the owner had to clear the vehicle as a normal production car at the customs. The original intention had been to declare it a valuable cultural property, but that would have precluded it from being drivable in Russia.
