The Streetmachine Project took Graham Slater nearly €70,000 and three years of work to complete. The man has dreamt of building a cool-looking, retro-style vehicle and then auctioning it off at a profit to ensure the well-being of his son, who was born with Down’s syndrome. The car was already estimated at around €143,000, so our congratulations to Graham!
Working on a unique body for the 2003 Jaguar XKR, he drew inspiration from the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupé, the Lincoln Zephyr and certain Porsches. Prototyping and shaping the body took as many as 54 cans of PU foam, and the end result was coated with six layers of GFRP.
The Streetmachine comes powered by the standard 4.2-liter Jaguar V8 engine and hits its speed ceiling at 250 km/h (155 mph).
