Car manufacturer Jeep and tuner Mopar have joined efforts to design and build two custom SUVs that will participate in the annual Easter Jeep Safari starting in Moab, State of Utah, USA on April 13, 2019.
Judging by the images, both builds utilize the chassis of the Jeep Gladiator pickup truck. All technical specifications are being kept secret until the race, so we are just going to have to wait.
In a similar collaboration a year ago, Mopar and Jeep designed as many as seven custom vehicles for the 2018 Moab Easter Safari. Five of those used the new Wrangler chassis, while the remaining two were modernized versions of the 1965 Jeep Renegade and the Jeep Wagoneer. The most extreme build, called the Jeep Sandstorm, came equipped with a roll cage, auxiliary lighting, a lightweight carbon hood, a long travel suspension, and meaty all-terrain tires.
