A while ago, someone in the senior management of Jeep let it slip that the Gladiator pickup truck could easily accommodate a 707-hp (527-kW) strong V8 sourced straight from a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Soon afterwards, U.S.-based car tuner Dynatrac came out with the Codex Project, a two-door conversion of the truck armed with the Hellcat mill. Today, the same team released an improved, four-door version of the Codex. All hail the Gladiator America's Most Wanted 4X4!
To put things into perspective, consider that the mid-size truck normally comes powered by a relatively meek 3.6-liter V6 gasoline burner. The very thought of fitting a 6.7-liter Dodge monster motor in its place seems blasphemous, and making sure it receives ample cooling even more so…
Watch the video to see the Gladiator America's Most Wanted 4X4 have a spectacular skidding start and burn through its tires in massive plumes of smoke.
