Jeep has officially revealed two concept vehicles it created in cooperation with Mopar tuning house especially for the Easter Safari, an annual off-road racing competition held in Utah, U.S.A. The hill-climbing race kicks off in a few days, so let’s have a closer look at the new contenders.
One of these, titled Jeep 4Speed, comes with increased ground clearance, stronger drive axles and heavy-duty 18” wheels wearing off-road tires. Its rear half has been transformed in a spacious trunk compartment. Some body parts have been replaced with new ones made of carbon, which led to a considerable weight reduction – particularly useful if you consider that the vehicle is driven by a two-liter turbo engine.
The other concept vehicle goes under the name of Jeep Sandstorm. It features revised suspension, 17” wheels and a roll cage, and also sports some carbon body parts. Its engine specifications aren’t being disclosed, though.
