Jeep Grand Commander, a production vehicle based on the Yuntu Concept, has arrived on the market in China. The car will only be sold domestically at first but may eventually get released in other countries as well if proves to be popular enough.
The large, seven-seat Jeep Grand Commander is based on the Compact USWide platform – the same, actually, as the one used for the current Cherokee model. It ships with a choice between two V4 engines, one of these offering 234 hp / 350 Nm (175 kW / 258 lb·ft) and the other one coming with 265 hp / 400 Nm (197 kW / 295 lb·ft).
Those willing to purchase the new Jeep Grand Commander may look forward to climate control, cruise control, parking assistance, an up-to-date infotainment console and numerous other handy features and options.
Depending on engine specifications and the chosen trim level, a new Jeep Grand Commander may cost between 279 800 and 409 800 Chinese Yuan.
