Jeep came forth with an official announcement of its latest development, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee SUV, which will be exhibited at the International Motor Show in Detroit, U.S.A. in January 2018.
Most car industry professionals seem to agree that the exterior of the new vehicle looks calmer and more relaxed in comparison to its previous version.
While there is no additional information available to date, an official Jeep source claims the new off-roader will come with a range of highly fuel-efficient engines to choose from.
It should be reminded that the current generation of Jeep Cherokee entered mass market in 2013. Following the release, the company sustained harsh criticism for the allegedly poor exterior design of the SUV. Jeep chose to retaliate by stressing that the appearance of the car was a joint effort by multiple designers to produce a vehicle that would still look compelling and up-to-date a few years after its release.
The current model of Jeep Cherokee can be obtained with either a 2.4-liter V4 gasoline engine rated at 177 hp, a 3.2-liter V6 capable of 272 hp, or a 2.0-liter diesel with 170 hp. Customers may also consider getting a Trailhawk edition of Jeep Cherokee with its greater off-road capabilities.
