The Chinese department of Jeep has disclosed some basic info about the soon-to-be-released Grand Commander SUV. The media received sketches and videos of the new car which will premiere at the Beijing Motor Show in China this spring.
Not unexpectedly, the new all-roader turned out to be a direct successor of the Jeep Yuntu concept demonstrated last year. It will arrive in showrooms in five- and seven-seat versions to choose from.
The Chinese Jeep Grand Commander gets a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. While no official performance data is given, industry professionals say it’s safe to expect something between 234 and 265 horsepower.
The first Jeep Grand Commander cars to roll off the assembly line will do so in autumn.
