These spy shots depict what one could easily confuse with the Jeep Compass, but what is actually a new crossover SUV with three seat rows.
We would expect the new model to get a different name despite being largely based on the Compass design and tech. Note the elongated rear half of the body that houses the third seat row. For its part, the front fascia references the new-gen Grand Cherokee, while the wheel arches and the slanted windows on d-pillars look identical to those of the Compass.
Rumor has it that the newcomer may ship with a 2.0-liter diesel turbo rated at 200 hp (150 kW) or so. A nine-speed transmission would drive all four wheels. An entry spec with FWD and a 1.3-liter turbo rated at 180 hp (134 hp) or so would also be on our list of expectations.
