A 2020 Jeep Gladiator with a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 under the hood is being sold at an auction right now with a top bid at $89,389 and some time remaining.
Houston-based tuner Tactical Offroad had its way with the truck, replacing the stock six-cylinder with a Hellcat eight-banger. Stock options usually include a 3.0L turbo diesel with 264 PS (260 hp / 194 kW) and a 3.6-liter petrol mill capable of 289 PS (285 hp / 213 kW). In contrast, the new engine churns out 717 PS (707 hp / 527 kW).
The tuner team has upgraded the eight-speed automatic transmission, the transfer case and other drivetrain components in accordance with the power increase. Further additions included Dana Ultimate 60 axles, coilovers, and 17-inch wheels shod in 40-inch off-road tires.
On the outside, the pickup sporta heavy-duty bumpers, a winch and robust-looking towing eyes. An extra light bar resides above the windshield, and the body décor and interior trim are both black.
The cabin appears rather tame in comparison with its manually adjusted OEM seats and dashboard. The trim level includes power assists, an infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, HVAC, and a premium audio system.
Whoever buys the vehicle will get a price list with all the aftermarket modifications and services listed. The engine alone cost the seller $58,000, and the axles added another $15,000. The entire project, including the $57,000 donor truck, set the owner back a whopping $185,787.
