A while ago, Russian auto shop UCT modded a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk to around 800 hp (596 kW). Would the beefed-up SUV be able to pull ahead in a drag race against some of its primary market rivals? This is what the team wanted to know.
According to the masters of the race, the non-tuned SUV only yielded to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the Lamborghini Urus on drag strip. The tuned example went up against a stock Urus (650 hp / 485 kW) and a considerably modded Cayenne with such upgrades as a sports catalyst, a new downpipe, and chip tuning (815 hp / 608 kW).
With its newfound power, the Cayenne really seems like the jolly horse – at least, spec-wise. But how would it perform in real conditions? Watch the video to find out!
