Smyth Cars is finishing its project to convert the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV into a full-fledged pickup truck. All versions are supported, and the kit costs mere 3,000 USD.
The show car depicted here is based on the second-gen Grand Cherokee WJ (shown on the video) and boasts enhanced suspension, protected drivetrain and manual/automatic transmission (you pick which one).
The company hopes that everyday off-road drivers will know to appreciate the custom build. This includes farmers, travelers and those involved in the oil and gas industry.
The conversion takes a month to complete and is limited to the exterior of the car; the cabin and the engine stay stock.
