For the past 35 years, performance shop O.CT Tuning has been specializing in unlocking more performance in cars no one would ever call underpowered in the first place. This Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk nicknamed ‘Hellhound’ is one of their latest works.
The team didn’t pay much attention to the exterior, preferring instead to focus on the drivetrain. The supercharged V8 received what is now available as the Stage 2 kit, going from 707 hp (527 kW) to 888 hp (662 kW). The torque simultaneously rose from 875 to 1,000 Newton-meters (from 645 to 738 pound-feet). Keep in mind that the actual figures differ even more, considering that the factory values are pre-transmission, and the tuning values are what actually hits the road.
Amazingly enough, the bulky SUV now sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in barely over three seconds and maxes out north of 300 km/h (186 mph).
The more budget-conscious clientele can opt for Stage 1 instead, which only yields mere 819 hp (611 kW) along with throwaway 950 Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque. Seriously, though, can you help being sarcastic talking about such projects?
