Jeep has unveiled the Grand Cherokee for Europe, making it a hybrid five-seater with no other powertrain options on that market.
As a 4xe model, the off-roader comes equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol turbo engine and a single electric motor. The output of the system maxes out at 381 PS (376 hp / 280 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. The all-electric range amounts to 51 km (32 miles). U.S. customers have naturally aspirated V6 and V8 options to choose from as well.
The only trim available at the moment is the Exclusive Launch Edition, which boasts 21-inch polished wheels and exclusive body colors always offset by a black roof and chrome accents.
Aside from the standard digital dashboard and 10.1-inch touch0enabled infotainment display, the Grand Cherokee Launch Edition gets a 10.25-inch front passenger display. It also rocks a McIntosh 19-channel audio system, supports wireless gadget charging and has immersive ambient lighting, among other things.
