Jeep will stretch the new Wagoneer & Grand Wagoneer

The U.S. SUV maker will unveil long-wheelbase variants of its Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models later this year, although shipments in the States are not expected to begin until at least mid-2022.

The freshly revealed Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer already look colossal even next to their peers, and their LWB versions are slated to become America’s largest off-roaders on record. The stretched Wagoneer will fight for customer attention with the likes of the Chevrolet Suburban, and the Grand Wagoneer will have to tackle the Lincoln Navigator L and the Cadillac Escalade ESV.

The company is also preparing a PHEV spec for both vehicles. Current specs include a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V8 and a 6.4-liter V8, but the hybrid will likely debut with a smaller-sized, more fuel-efficient turbo setup.
