Both are mild hybrids without charging support, but you can still drive them in all-electric mode in certain situations.
All e-Hybrid come powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo rated at 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque. A small electric motor built into the transmission contributes another 20 PS (20 hp / 15 kW) and 55 Nm (40 lb-ft). The drive is always on the front axle.
According to Stellantis, you can engage all-electric mode to move in traffic jams, accelerate after traffic lights and maneuver on parking lots, where the electric motor alone is enough.
A special edition called Upland has also been announced for a variety of models, including the Compass and the Renegade in their MHEV and PHEV versions. The Upland trim makes extensive use of eco-friendly recycled materials, boasts a “Matter Azur” finish and has bronze exterior accents.
