The Jeep fan community has been speculating for six years now that the company was preparing to revive the giant Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs. Now we finally have a confirmation on this, plus a couple of official teaser pics that do their utmost to reveal nothing about the actual car.
The first photo shows the engine start button and two rotary knobs. The other one reveals half of a blurred Wagoneer logo next to the U.S. national flag. Aside from this, both Jeeps can be depended upon to receive 12-inch bezel-free infotainment displays and individual displays for the passengers. In terms of luxury, both should prove to be at least on par with their European rivals, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the Range Rover. From the technical point of view, both will utilize the chassis and tech of the Ram 1500 pickup truck.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles promises to start production in the second quarter of 2021. Plug-in hybrid versions and the top-end Grand Wagoneer Trackhawk will come out sometime after the main launch.
