In its latest teaser video, Jeep shows us the front fascia of the revived Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer model along with the launch date: March 11, 2021.
It would appear that the final production car stays very close in design to its conceptual predecessor revealed in September. Judging by the video alone, the radiator grille, the headlight lenses and the side mirrors are the only changed elements.
The rest of the body and the cabin remain to be revealed, so it is not clear how many of the show car’s seven displays will make it into the final version. In case you forgot, the prototype had four displays at the front row and three at the rear row. It also flaunted a panoramic glass roof and a McIntosh audio system comprising 23 speakers.
The newcomer utilizes the same platform as the Ram 1500 pickup truck, and rocks Quadra-Lift suspension. It has AWD and offers a plug-in hybrid powertrain among others, although there are no further specifics yet.
The production will take place at the Jeep factory in Detroit, USA. Once it hits the market, the new Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer will likely occupy the same niche as the Cadillac Escalade and the Lincoln Navigator.
