Jeep has recently unveiled its first EV and will be introducing a few more in 2024, but it doesn’t mean that the company is going all-electric. MoparInsiders claims Jeep will bring a new inline-six engine to the New York International Auto Show opening in mid-April.
Citing its own sources, MoparInsiders says the engine is called “GME-T6” and comes in three turbo stages to choose from. The latest Jeep Wagoneer (shown in our gallery here) will be the first vehicle to receive it, and it will allegedly get the most powerful version of the three.
Later on, the GME-T6 will become a part of a plug-in hybrid system set to debut in 2023. It is alleged that the system will utilize an eight-speed automatic transmission.
