During its 4xe Day event dedicated to new products, Jeep has previewed three fully electric vehicles destined to reach the mass market within in the next few years.
The first entry – the Jeep Recon – has a Wrangler-like design with detachable doors and the company’s signature AWD system capable of overcoming the worst off-road obstacles there is. The platform used is STLA Large, but there has been no mention of any drivetrain parameters yet.
The second novelty is called Jeep Wagoneer S and looks more like the Cherokee Trackhawk than like any Wagoneer. We know from official sources that it accelerates 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3.5 seconds and has 643 kilometers (400 miles) of electric range.
Rounding off the trio is Jeep Avenger, the same compact crossover SUV that we saw on spy shots not long ago. Its named had been kept secret until now, and it is shaping up to be Europe’s most anticipated model by far. Jeep agrees that the SUV was developed specifically for the EU market and promises to reveal more details next month.
