The Jeep Wagoneer S has only recently been announced, but the company managed to post some of its photos online by mistake, says Mopar Insiders. They were quickly pulled from the website, but not before users made copies. Let’s check out the electric SUV set to go on sale in the USA this fall.
The images 1 and 2 in the gallery below should give you plenty of idea about its appearance. The Wagoneer EV has a stretched body not unlike that of the recent electric Cadillacs, as well as a solid grille panel at the front end. It also sports the company’s signature radiator grille with seven slats.
A look at the sides reveals new door handles. Moving on to the back, there is an impressively large spoiler that seems to continue the roofline. Unlike the gas-powered Wagoneer (see images 3–7 below), the S version has the lettering ‘Jeep’ on the tailgate instead of the model name.
For the powertrain, Jeep will most likely use two electric motors rated at 608 PS (600 hp / 447 kW) or so. The SUV will be able to reach 60 mph (96.6 km/h) in roughly 3.5 seconds.
