Jeep has posted more photos of the upcoming Wagoneer S, focusing on the interior for the first time. The electric SUV is slated to reach the U.S. market in the fall.
The steering wheel and the doors are the only places where you can still find physical buttons. To compensate, the dashboard houses as many as four displays – a digital gauge cluster, an infotainment screen, a dedicated display for the front passenger, and an HVAC control panel. Contour lighting illuminates the interior at waistline level.
An engine start button can be found on the center console between the seats. A rotary knob is provided for drive mode selection, and it looks like the Wagoneer S gets at least two off-road presets – Snow and Sand.
In its cheapest trim version, the vehicle will have a two-part sunroof and a 19-channel McIntosh premium audio system. Jeep promises us a combination of “art and technology” in the cabin, no matter the trim level.
As for the exterior, some photos of it leaked online around a weak ago. New shots published this week confirm that the car is getting a sporty and dynamic-looking exterior. The front end is dominated by a traditional Jeep grille, but in the EV version, it is reduced to a solid slab with seven slats and some backlight.
The Wagoneer S is coming to the market with a 608-PS (600-hp / 447-kW) dual-motor powertrain that will let it sprint 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3.5 seconds. It runs on a brand-new platform known as the BEV STLA-Large, marking the first time Stellantis uses it for a production vehicle.
