With the next-gen Jeep Wrangler Gladiator JT still round the corner, we had been hoping that custom builds based on the previous-gen JK chassis would become cheaper. If only! Just look at this six-wheel monster truck with a U.S. $289,000 price tag attached… Let’s try and figure out just what makes it so expensive.
The project was led by Wild Boar Off-Road (California, USA). Aside from the third axle, the pickup truck gained a new 6.2L Hellcat V8 engine rated at 707 hp / 527 kW, a suspension lift (+5” / +127 mm) and a set of custom wheels wrapped in meaty 35” off-road tires.
The car also sports an aggressively styled front fascia, a custom roof rack, a hood air scoop, as well as glossy black fender flares and radiator grille. Each bumper has a towing hook attached, and the front one also conceals a winch and a bull bar.
The inside of the car is trimmed with genuine leather, Alcantara and other premium-quality materials.
So what do you think, is this Jeep Wrangler 6x6 by Wild Boar Off-Road worth its asking price?
