Chelsea Truck Company, a subdivision of British car customizer Kahn Design, has finished working on an exclusive expedition SUV it calls the Black Hawk Expedition Edition. A regular Jeep Wrangler was used for the project.
The off-roader gained new suspension with taller springs, but much of its road clearance owes itself to new 20-inch Kahn Mondial Retro wheels wrapped in meaty Cooper Tires STT PRO 275x55x20 rubber. These mods alone should warrant it virtually complete freedom of movement away from the beaten track.
The exterior of the Black Hawk Expedition Edition charms with TRON-style LED ring headlights, a new front bumper, tinted rear windows, an Iron Man hood with air intakes, Kahn’s trademark Black Hawk radiator grille with four vertical fins, fender flares with air louvers, and a roof-mounted light bar. Moving on to the rear, there is a spare wheel housing and quad tailpipes measuring 100 millimeters (4 inches) in diameter.
The cabin wears a light-hued perforated leather trim and houses GTB bucket seats with the tuner’s autographs on the headrests, aluminum pedals, stainless-steel running boards and a plaque highlighting the special edition of the SUV.
No associated costs have been made known.
