The tuner team over at Hoonigan Daily Transmission seems to go to all lengths – and probably then some – to leave us wide-eyed, slack-jawed, drooling over their latest videos. Their newest project was this Jeep Wrangler owned by Adam Maloney from U.S.-based auto shop Denton Racing.
The team has raised the suspension dramatically, owing to a large extent to new 40-inch (101cm) off-road tires. More importantly, it has put a seven-liter LSX V8 engine under the hood, assisted by a supercharger for 930 hp (690 kW) total output.
For the Jeep to be able to harness that kind of power, numerous drivetrain components had to be replaced with their better-performing or more durable aftermarket counterparts. We will not bore you with the full listing; suffice it to say, Hoonigan had to design a custom cooling system for the four-speed automatic transmission, based on multiple powerful cooling fans.
Just watch the video, you will see.
