The next instalment in the iconic Jeep Wrangler off-roader series has been showcased at the International Car Show in Los-Angeles, U.S.A. earlier today. The redesigned Wrangler becomes available in spring 2018, with production facilities already toiling in Ohio, U.S.A.
Just as expected, the new Wrangler retained its framework but also received an aluminum body which reduced its weight by roughly 200 kilograms (~440 lbs). A “summer” modification with its removable body panels, doors and windshield will also be available.
The off-roader ships in the 2-door and the 4-door version. Exterior highlights include a reworked radiator grille, a redesigned hood with new air vents, and stylish LED lights.
The interior of the latest Jeep Wrangler features a wide digital dashboard and a multimedia system with a superb touchscreen.
The car is driven by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine capable of 268 horsepower. According to official sources, the stock engine of the Jeep Wrangler is sufficient to carry a trailer attachment of up to 1.5 metric tons (3,300 lbs).
