Would you pay one hundred grand for a Jeep Wrangler V8 7.0?

As you may know, Jeep is getting ready to launch a V8 variant of its Wrangler SUV, but in the meantime, tuners continue churning out their own versions.

This particular example debuted at the SEMA 2014 as a project by Starwood. The SUV became a pickup truck and received a slew of off-road-friendly upgrades, such as a winch, assorted guard plates and under shields, coilovers and anti-sway bars, and 22-inch Forgiato wheels wrapped in 37-inch mud rubber. Things stay relatively plain in the cabin, except for abundant LED lighting.

The main novelty can be found in the engine bay, where a giant 7.0-liter Hemi V8 toils under the assistance of a Whipple supercharger. No specific output values are cited, but many powertrain components are designed to withstand loads up to 1,200 hp (895 kW).

The unique pickup is currently up for grabs for U.S. $100,000 – more than three times the price of an entry-level Wrangler.
