Jeep has posted the prices of its latest hybrid SUV: the Wrangler 4xe. A new car plus shipping will set you back fifty thousand grand, but there are workarounds.
The Sahara spec normally begins from U.S. $47,995 and the Rubicon from $51,695. However, if you specify dual electric motors for your car, it will become eligible for a $7,500 tax deduction. This drops the price down to the level of the standard Sahara and Rubicon that currently retail at $39,505 and $42,390, accordingly.
The plug-in hybrid setup the off-roader comes with grants it a total of 375 PS (370 hp / 276 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. It comprises dual electric motors, a lithium-ion battery, and a two-liter turbocharged petrol engine.
Jeep says the Wrangler Rubicon and the Sahara 4xe Launch Edition will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2021.
