Wrangler Rubicon Concept set to participate in the Easter Safari

The 2022 Easter Safari race is taking place on April 9-18, and Jeep has already announced three vehicles for it. Two of these are the Cherokee and Gladiator we have seen before, and the third one shapes up to be a Wrangler Rubicon.

The car is never mentioned outright anywhere, and the only teaser pic available (the first one in our gallery) reveals very little. However, some conclusions can still be made. For one, there is a “Rubicon” lettering referring to the trim level. Second, there is a number ‘20’ in sight, which makes us think it has to be a Wrangler. The original Rubicon off-roader debuted in 2003, or 20 years ago if you assume that the SUV entering the race is a year 2023 model.

There is also a visible bulge in the middle of the hood, implying a 392 Hemi spec with possible further upgrades. The full name of the car will certainly be revealed soon, but we think we have largely figured it out by now.

The second and third images in the gallery here show the Cherokee and the Gladiator mentioned above, while the video is an ad for the Easter Safari itself.
