The eBay marketplace is home to some of the strangest tuning projects we’ve seen, and this 1988 Jeep Wrangler definitely makes the cut. Last time we checked, it was still available for just $17,950.
The ad fails to provide detailed information about the project, but images speak volumes. For one thing, it is obvious that this Wrangler had its entire bodywork stripped off and replaced with brand-new parts. The result in a fashionable roadster looking little like the donor SUV due to completely different proportions.
The exterior is matte black with barely a seam in view and natural wood applications on the lower front apron and the sides.
Just like the body, the cabin is clean and minimalistic with a wood-trimmed dash panel, an OEM steering wheel, and two seats wrapped in cream-tinted leather.
A separate mention goes to the engine, which is a 7.5-liter non-turbo V8 transplanted from a Ford car. It is mated to the rear axle through a modern automatic transmission. Regrettably, we do not know any specifics regarding its power or torque.
