Jeep has complemented its Wrangler hybrid lineup with a new 4Xe modification called ‘Willys’. The premiere has just taken place at the Detroit Motor Show.
By default, the off-roader comes equipped with LED headlights, an advanced nine-channel audio system and rubber mats with drainage ports in the cabin. Exterior novelty boils down to a black radiator grille with vertical bars and Willys badges with special stickers highlighted in blue color.
A 2.0-liter turbo-four engine under the hood receives assistance from dual electric motors for a total of 380 PS (375 hp / 279 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. A Torqueflite eight-speed automatic carries the power to the wheels, and the all-electric range is rather modest at 34 km (21 miles).
In its factory guise, the Wrangler Willys 4Xе boasts extra ride height, Dana 44 axles, robust tires wrapped around 17-inch wheels, and all-wheel drive. Sales will begin in late 2022 starting from $55,590.
