The U.S.-based tuning firm Bruiser Conversions has announced the forthcoming release of an upgrade package for the next-generation Jeep Wrangler SUV. The release isn’t all about cosmetics, either – in fact, the stock engine of the iconic off-roader is going to be swapped with a new one altogether.
This new engine is none other than the 6.2L V8 which comes with the Chevrolet Camaro SS. Coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, it’s going to be able to produce up to 456 hp and 576 Nm of torque.
In its hi-end stock version, the new Wrangler comes with a gasoline-powered 3.6 V6 engine capable of 285 hp and 353 Nm of torque. Other options include a V4 turbo engine with 272 hp and 400 Nm and a 3.0-liter V6 diesel.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler update debuted in November 2017 with a stronger and lighter body framework made possible by the application of modern materials and technology. Industry experts were quite surprised that the vehicle turned out to be the first Jeep SUV with the soft-hybrid system on board.
