Tuning company SCA Performance has been working on off-road Wrangler builds for years now, and has now revealed its take on the model year 2023.
Overall, the modifications are analogous to those from the preceding year (see video). Fox Adventure shocks and other suspension mods raise the clearance by a further 76 mm (3 inches). A tweaked steering mechanism ensures more precise and reliable steering on challenging terrain.
By default, the SUV comes with 20-inch wheels shod in 35-inch Toyo Open Country R/T tires, but you can pay extra for 22-inch rims with 37-inch BFGoodrich mud tires wrapped around them. Hanging a complete spare wheel on the tailgate necessitated a whole new metal rack and sturdier hinges to prevent the tailgate from falling off.
Things stay largely untouched in terms of styling. There is a Mopar ventilated hood, tinted windows all around and spider badges on the rear bumper and the hubcaps – but that’s about all. The cabin is leather-trimmed in a stylish red-and-black combo with matching red ambient lighting.
Buying a Black Widow Edition is possible from U.S. $63,000, but the tuner suggests putting aside around $80,000 with options in mind.
