Super 8, a major American hotel network and part of the Wyndham Hotel Group, has unveiled an unusual take on the previous-generation Jeep Wrangler SUV. The vehicle goes under the name of Roadm8 and features a design similar to what new Super 8 hotels look like on the inside. It has debuted at the recently concluded 2018 New York International Motor Show.
A spokesman for the hotel chain said it took over 2,500 hours for the creators of Roadm8 to finish their job. Many of its parts had to be custom-ordered and are one-of-a-kind. They trimmed the interior of the car with expensive leather and decorated it with numerous wood inlets.
Perhaps the most compelling feature of the new Roadm8 is an on-board coffee machine snugly fitted in between the front seats. There is also a fridge and an infotainment system with a touch-sensitive display.
Super 8 made no mention of the project cost.
