Jetour представил Zongheng G700 & F700 introduced in China

Chery’s Jetour brand has sprouted a sub-brand of its own called Zongheng. It will specialize in making luxury hybrid vehicles – here are the first two models already scheduled for production.

Starting with the Zongheng G700, it is a market-ready version of the Jetour T5 Concept from the last spring’s Beijing Auto Expo. It is sized 5,173 mm (202 inches) long, 2,050 mm (80 inches) wide and 1,950 mm (76.2 inches) tall with 2,850 mm (111.3 inches) of wheelbase. The tailgate is hinged and houses a full-fledged spare wheel. Air suspension enables ground clearance adjustment in an impressive range of 150–350 millimeters (5.86–13.67 inches).

The interior houses three rows of seats arranged two per row (2+2+2 layout). The dashboard has no instrument cluster in the traditional sense – a widescreen display installed closer to the windshield replaces it. A large infotainment system screen resides in the middle. The transmission selector sits on the steering wheel column, freeing up space on the center console for two wireless charging pads and some nice physical buttons. Huawei’s Qiankun ADASS package and Lexicon audio are listed as trim options. Middle row occupants get to enjoy particularly posh seats with adjustable footrests and a display on the ceiling.

From the technical point of view, the Zongheng G700 is a parallel plug-in hybrid off-roader. Its powertrain is called CDM-O and uses a 2.0-liter turbo four-pot with 211 PS (208 hp / 155 kW) to generate electricity for two electric motors. A 286-PS (282-hp / 210-kW) motor is built into the car’s two-speed DHT transmission and drives the front wheels. A stronger 408-PS (402-hp / 300-kW) motor powers the rear wheels.

As for the model F700, it is essentially the same car as the G700 but in a pickup truck body. It features a large four-door cab and a comparatively small cargo bed. Jetour says the same CDM-O powertrain is used here as well.
