Jetour, a Chinese car sub-brand owned by Chery, conducted a private premiere of the T-1 SUV. The car previously showed up as a concept (see video) and as a camouflaged test vehicle. AutoHome claims it was able to learn certain specs as well.
Judging by the photo from a presentation slide, the production car largely looks like its conceptual predecessor, except for simpler wheel arches, door handles, radiator grille and mirror caps.
The images depict two differently sized cars, suggesting that the company will offer the T-1 in five- and seven-seat flavors. The former is 4.7 and the latter is 5.1 meters long, AutoHome reports citing its own sources.
For the powertrain, there will be 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter turbo options with seven-speed DCT and eight-speed A/T for the transmission. As a third option, customers will be able to get a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid with a claimed 200 km (124 miles) of all-electric range.
It is also official that the off-roader comes with two dozen options and accessories aimed at active leisure enthusiasts and nature lovers. These include tailgate shelves, a roof-mounted drone landing pad, additional storage containers and more.
The interior remains to be revealed, but the Jetour T-1 will celebrate its official online premiere later this month. The pre-order books will stay closed until the car arrives live at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, though.
