Jetour schedules 5 more SUVs for release soon

Jetour, a Chinese car marque owned by Chery, is currently making 13 different models for its domestic market. During the recent premiere of a new SUV named the Traveller (in the gallery below), the company shared plans to introduce another five utility vehicles in the near future.

According to CarNewsChina, the first newcomer will be a stretched version of the Traveller, provisionally referred to as the T1L. It was teased at the presentation event as a sub-5-meter vehicle with three seat rows inside.

Aside from crossovers, Jetour is willing to expand its product range with serious off-roaders. To that end, the company is working on an SUV so far known only as the T-2/T-3 and a pickup truck dubbed the P-2/P-3. The double names prompt the suggestion that both models will be getting an extra variant.

The plans don’t stop there, though. The current X90 model (see video) is due a generational update and there will be a new X2 SUV, described as ‘fairly compact and affordable.’

The company’s latest crossover SUV – the Traveller – has a sporty exterior and comes with three powertrains to choose from. The engine lineup incorporates 1.6L and 2.0L options, as well as a 1.5L hybrid. All power and torque numbers are due at later dates, but we know that the Traveller has on-demand AWD thanks to a BorgWarner coupling.
