Jetour T-1 presents cabin

Chery is getting an all-new SUV named Jetour T-1 ready to rumble in China. The latest spy shots suggest the car gets a large dash display and certain elements we have already seen on the Omoda C5. The prices are expected to start from 149,800 Yuan.

This is the first time the interior of the test car was not draped over. You can see a steering wheel, a center tunnel with an Omoda C5 gear lever, Tiggo SUV seats, and a large touchscreen display. Granted, the final production car might look different and even lose of these elements; there are no guarantees at this point.

In all likelihood, the Jetour T-1 will ship with the marque’s usual 1.6- and 2.0-liter turbo engines, as well as a plug-in hybrid option. Since Chery began making eight-speed automatic transmissions at its own factory not long ago, it is possible that such a transmission will be available for the T-1 as well.

From earlier reports, we learned that the T-1 will be coming to the market in five- and seven-seat variants 4.8 and 4.95 meters long, respectively. The camera-wielding spy added a comment to the photos saying he estimated the ground clearance at 250-260 mm (around 10 inches).

Rumor has it that the Jetour T-1 will ship in China in April 2023 with five trim levels to choose from.
