Chinese automaker Kaiyi has unveiled the Shiyue, the final production version of its previously introduced all-electric concept car, i-EA 01. It should reach the showrooms in a few months and is shaping up to be the brand’s most affordable vehicle so far, AutoHome.cn reports.
Styled as a three-door supermini, the Shiyue is 3,360 mm long, 1,700 mm wide and 1,605 mm tall with 2,160 mm between the axles. The design is nearly unchanged from the concept, unless you notice small details like the radiator grille shape or the side relief.
The interior seats four people. The base trim includes LED lighting, a 10.25-inch multimedia display, 360-degree cameras, a digital dashboard and 15-inch wheels.
The only electric motor available drives the front axle with 48 PS (47 hp / 35 kW). Customers can choose between two battery sizes, the largest one sufficient for 300 km (186 miles) of range.
