Karma Automotive leaks roadmap for 2021-2027

Mass media have gotten their hands on what appears to be a legitimate inside document marked by the VINs of Karma Automotive. If the leak were to be confirmed, it would mean that we now know everything the automaker is planning to do on the market until 2027.

The spreadsheet contains plans for an estate/wagon, a convertible, a coupe, two MPVs, and a pickup truck in two- and four-door cabin variants. Some powertrains are also mentioned, including hybrid ones based on the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder GM LNF mill (212 hp) and the 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder BMW M38 (231 hp). A new proprietary engine and all-electric powertrains are also expected.

Judging by earlier statements by Karma, the new cars will arrive based on platforms called the E-Flex (see video) and High-Performance E-Flex. Both support placing electric batteries under the floor and inside the center tunnel. As for the hybrids, their electric half may be implemented via as many as four motors mounted two per axle. This could result in a vehicle rated at 1,115 hp and capable of 644 kilometers (400 miles) of range. One last in-development feature mentioned in the document is an SAE Level 4 self-driving system.

Karma will be bringing out its new production models starting in 2021, but some might premiere later this year.
