Karma unveils Amaris, its next sports car

Karma Automotive has presented the Amaris, a full-size premium GT scheduled for production in in late 2026. It features an aluminum and carbon-fiber body and utilizes a hybrid powertrain with a BMW turbo four-pot at its base.

Rumor has it the company plans to recycle its Revero sedan platform for this model, albeit with some modifications. It’s official that the Amaris will be riding on 22-inch forged wheels called Constellation and will light up the way with Target Lightning DRLs. These consist of two daytime running lights built into the main headlight units, an extra light in the middle of the bumper and yet another one in the hood, for a total of four DRLs.

Performance-wise, we are told to expect a 0-96.6 km/h (0-60 mph) time of less than 3.5 seconds and a top speed electronically capped at 265 km/h (165 mph).
