Streaming service Hulu has posted a trailer of the upcoming documentary movie titled ‘Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story’. Keanu Reeves will be telling the story of the legendary Brawn GP team, which managed to rake in numerous rewards within a single F1 season.
The series stars team owner Ross Brawn himself, as well as drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, ex-F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, ex-Ferrari Board Chaiman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, and Christian Horner of Red Bull Racing.
Brawn GP came into being in 2008, shortly after Honda’s team departed from the Formula. It is believed that Brawn bought his team for a single pound sterling. The next season began with the team’s complete triumph in Australia, where it achieved more than any other debutant in the entire new history of the Formula 1. Button and Barrichello won 8 races out of 17, bringing Brawn GP the first place in the individual team ranking and the Constructors’ Cup. No other team achieved so much in its first year on the track.
Mercedes-Benz and Aabar Investment acquired a share of over 75% in Brawn GP in November 2009. The team was subsequently renamed to Mercedes GP.
