Kevin Hart, a famous U.S. comedian, actor and car aficionado, will be bringing nearly a dozen of restored American automotive classics from his private ‘Kollection’ (that’s his name for it) to the Los-Angeles Auto Show in November. He says this will be the first time the whole assembly will be displayed for everyone to see.
There are 11 vehicles in total. Highlights include a 1987 Buick Regal Grand National with a T-shaped top and a Cadillac ATS-V engine transplant. The 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 produces 649 PS (640 hp / 477 kW) in its new domain.
One of the most expensive exhibits is, beyond doubt, a 1970 Dodge Charger Hellraiser by Speedkore. Aside from flaunting an all-carbon body, the muscle car packs a 1,000-horsepower (750-kilowatt) Hellephant engine mated to an eight-speed AT.
The list goes on to mention a trio of Chevrolets – a 54-year-old Camaro, a 64-year-old Corvette and a 1966 Chevelle in near-OEM look. There are also a Pontiac GTO coupe and convertible, a 53-year-old Dodge Challenger and a particularly extreme Plymouth Roadrunner built by Sean Smith and Salvaggio Design.
Rounding off the list are a couple of modern Ferraris – a last year’s SF90 Spider and the latest 812 Competizione. Most exhibits have been restored and/or modified with assistance from some of North America’s most reputable tuners.
