South Korean car giant Kia has come to the Detroit Motor Show with a production-ready copy of its new Telluride SUV. The car packs a 295-hp (220-kW) engine, AWD, 8-speed automatic, and a spacious interior.
As far as the exterior design is concerned, there is a rather bulky radiator grille, LED headlights, and L-shaped brake lights.
Inside, there is an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display and smartphone control feature. A high-end audio system made up of 10 speakers and offering six USB ports along with a wireless gadget charger is available at a premium.
A 3.8-liter, six-cylinder gasoline engine rated at 295 hp (220 kW) and 355 Nm (262 lbft) of torque sits under the hood, linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The car will ship in two versions (front drive and 4WD) and offer six selectable drive modes (Smart, Eco, Sport, Comfort, Snow and Off-Road). Depending on your choice, the torque will be distributed between the front and the rear axle in a ratio of 80:20, 50:50 or 65:35.
Base features include a blind spot monitor system, 360-degree camera view, adaptive cruise control, lane control, and projection-based HUD.
