Kia teases the interior of its new SUV

Following some exterior pics of its upcoming new crossover SUV, Kia has released a few images showing the car from inside. The premiere is expected in a few weeks, and the market launch should occur in the second half of 2019.

As you can see for yourself, a new infotainment system with a 10.25-inch display and hardware controls dominates the cockpit. Aside from serving as a multimedia interface, the quasi-hovering screen provides access to certain common car functions. Directly above the screen are air blowers encased in metallic bezels.

The multi-function steering wheel of the new compact SUV looks similar to that of the Stonic, and the digital instrument panel also looks familiar from other Kia models. Note that there is an Off-Road Mode button located right next to the gear selector. The car also has hill descent assist and diff lock features.

The cabin is trimmed with faux carbon/metal inserts.

In an earlier news, Kia announced that the SUV would get heated/ventilated front seats, rear parking system, keyless start-and-go, and a feature called Sound Mood Lighting that can adjust the ambient lighting in accordance with the music genre currently playing.
