Car spotters from South Korea have managed to catch the new Kia XCeed completely unawares, which is to say, without the slightest bit of its usual test mule cladding on. Let us have a closer look at the off-road-capable hatchback that the company says will be available in FWD and AWD versions.
The XCeed sports a higher road clearance than the regular Ceed. It also has differently styled bumpers and headlights, as well as some protective moldings. Technically, though, the XCeed will be identical to its sibling.
Mass production will start in October 2019, the manufacturer says. A four-door EV and a hydrogen-powered sedan/saloon will also complement the Kia lineup soon. Finally, the new Kia Optima will debut later this year, now boasting an AWD system with electronic transmission clutch control.
