Kia brings two new C-class cars to the European market

The famous South Korean car brand Kia has announced the forthcoming release of two C-class vehicles in Europe. A new SUV and a sports wagon will both be based on the popular Kia Cee’d.

According to official sources, the new SUV will assume the middle position between the compact Stonic and the bulky Sportage. Depending on the country, cars like this constitute a market share of 25% to near 100% in Europe. Speaking of direct competition in this market segment, company representatives named Nissan Qashqai and Seat Ateca.

Another newcomer – the Kia Cee’d wagon – comes with a Shooting Brake-like body type. As we told you in an earlier news, Kia demonstrated the concept version of the car at the Frankfurt Car Show in September. The new vehicle will have to fight off competition made up primarily by the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake – and the odds look good, considering its lower price.

Each of these latest additions to the Cee’d family will be given the same set of engines to choose from, including a 1.0-liter V3 gas engine and a 1.6-liter turbo diesel.
