Kia talks about the new EV6

The South Korean automaker has new photos of the battery-powered EV6 to show us and a story to tell about its design.

The EV6 is the marque’s first production car to utilize the E-GMP platform and follow a new design philosophy named ‘Opposites United’. The ideology is that of a juxtaposition of extremes inherent in nature and human existence.

The front fascia rocks what the company jovially calls a ‘Digital Tiger Face’. Individual LEDs light up one after another for added style points, a low-set air intake emphasizes the width of the front fascia, and a new logo rounds things off.

The sloped windshield, roof and c-pillars aren’t there just for show, either: they serve to maximize the aerodynamic efficiency of the EV and give it some extra range.

Technical specs remain unannounced except for the abovementioned range, which amounts to 500 kilometers (310 miles). The full reveal is coming up later this month.
