Kia Motors teases fans with new pics of the latest battery-driven crossover

The South Korean car giant Kia Motors just published some new teaser pics showing its latest full-electric crossover. The car will debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2018) in Las-Vegas, U.S.A.

Interestingly, while the company refused to give its latest creation an official name to go by, the letters situated on the rear bumper of the car clearly read “Niro EV”.

Industry experts suppose that the car was built on the same platform as the Niro crossover, but its front and rear seem to have been dramatically redesigned. Whatever the case, we’ll be able to learn more when the newcomer debuts on January 8th.

The mass-produced U.S. version of Kia Niro comes with a hybrid engine which comprises a 1.6-liter gasoline V4 and an electric motor.
Just whether the new full-electric crossover prototype makes it to the mass market also remains unknown.
